  • New Life Restoration Center 35th Anniversary Service
My Complete Sound System was rented for New Life Restoration Center’s 35th anniversary service. My Operational Services were also employed to run sound and set the system up and tear it down.
  • Birthday Dance Party
My DJ Sound & Lighting System was used for a birthday dance party. I’m not a DJ (at least in my estimation), but I can play a mean Spotify playlist.
  • Todd & Lynn Bourque Vow Renewal Video
I did a video shoot for a vow renewal, today. It was another outdoor “wedding” (because it wasn’t really a wedding, but it was basically a wedding), so there was a lot of backlighting. Overall, though, there weren’t any major issues and that’s always a plus. It was a whole day event with two meals and a double-decker pontoon boat. I even pulled out the drone for nice beginning and ending shots.
  • Matthew & Nicole Gloden Wedding Video
I was hired to do a wedding video shoot for Matthew & Nicole Gloden. My son, Jonathan, was wanting to learn about doing wedding videos, so he came along and helped with the camera work. Shawn Wade brought some gear and ran a camera, as well.
  • Sound For Poolside Concert
I ran sound and used my sound system for a Tom Lovato & Friends poolside concert, tonight. It was a hot, July, afternoon to set everything up. Loading, unloading, setting up, tearing down, loading, and unloading again, is a lot of work. Hehehe…
  • 4th Of July Dance Party
My DJ Sound System was used for a 4th of July party. We had a patriotic mix with the meal, a banger (am I too old to say that?) mix for the dance party, and ended the night with a fireworks display.
  • Sound For Tom Lovato
Tonight, I ran sound for Tom Lovato & Friends. I used Tom’s sound system and I just mixed front-of-house (or front-of-pool, as the case may be). The only things that were running through the system were Tom’s vocal and acoustic guitar, Jesse’s (sax player) vocal, and Mark’s (drums) vocal. Sax, Drums, and bass, were all acoustic or amped. Unfortunately, one of his speakers went out. Thankfully, I was able to get it back up. I’m glad I walked the floor, regularly. If I was living in headphones, or at the board, I might not have known.
  • Nick & Betty Jo Bourque Wedding Video
Today, I did video for Nick & Betty Jo Bourque’s wedding. My daughter and wife’s photography company were hired for the ceremony and they recommended my video services. I found about the gig the night before the wedding. Thankfully, they were at the rehearsal. I, at least, had a general understanding of the procession and staging.
  • Outdoor Celebration Sound Gear
Our church had their birthday party, today. I supplied some of the sound equipment and set it all up.
  • YES! Global Studio Install
Today I started setting up YES! Global’s new studio. I spent most of today running networking cables, for the PTZ cameras and sound system. This will be a live audience studio, with music, so it will be like a small church service setting.
  • Fake Birthday Film Festival 2025
I did video and sound for the 2025 Fake Birthday Film Festival. I also starred in the short film “RED”. It may be worth noting that RED won an award and was runner up for three others, but none of them were for me being best actor. Oh, well…
  • Gospel Revival Ministries’ Studio Install
Today we began the lighting and camera install for Gospel Revival Ministries’ new studio. I did the gear recommendations and original studio and control room installation. There were separate construction and decorating crews and their editor finished the project.
  • 50th Anniversary Party
Today was Harold & Brenda Gross’ 50th anniversary party. I was called on for audio/video production. Thankfully, they had a sound system at the venue. Otherwise, I would have had to use my little punk system that I used for the birthday dance party a few weeks ago. Shawn was also doing video and photography with his new camera. All of the pictures, below, are from him. Bambi also edited a slideshow for the party.
  • Sweet 16 Party
I supplied audio gear, emceed, and quasi-DJ’d, a birthday bash for Jaley Jackson. Unfortunately, my normal audio rig was being rented. I had to use a pair of near-field monitors and a home theater subwoofer for a sound system. It worked, but I was getting every last watt out of the studio monitors.
  • Branson Victory Campaign 2024
As in the last 5-10 years, I was assisting their FOH engineer. I helped run sound, during the conference, including during Jerry Savelle’s and Kenneth Copeland’s sermons. Bambi did some photography, for the event. For the first time, Jonathan was a cable grip. 18 years ago, I started doing cable grip for KCM. He is a chip off the old block, as they say.
  • Fake Birthday Film Festival 2024
Tonight was the 4th annual Fake Birthday Film Festival. It’s called that in memory of Austin Ebersol lying about his birthday on Facebook. Local filmmakers produce short films in randomly-chosen genres and using randomly-chosen items.
  • Changed Watch Party Live Stream
Today was the live stream of the watch party for the finale of Changed. The cast and crew gathered to watch the first five episodes, bloopers, and take part in a Q&A. The party culminated in watching the series finale.
  • 24 Hours Of Horseshoe Hell
I was on-site at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch’s 24 Hours Of Horseshoe Hell rock climbing competition doing some video work (and doing some rock climbing). For those that aren’t familiar, 24HHH is an endurance climbing comp where you rack up points over a 24-hour span (IE… all day and all night). Attendees can’t sport climb, during the competition, but they can boulder. There is a pre-competition party, a late-night bouldering party, and various other activities (like deep-water soloing). I was there, with cameras in-hand (or would that be camera in-hands as I didn’t have more than one camera in a hand).
  • More Changed Content
We are nearing the end of principle photography for “Changed”. I’ve been manning the camera and acting.
  • Shooting “Roadside”
This was the last day of shooting for my “Roadside” rock climbing documentary.
  • First Live Stream With New Video Rig
This was my first real opportunity to use my portable video rig. I did the live stream for YES! Church’s monthly HouseAfire meeting.
  • Using My New Video Camera
Shawn Wade is using some of my new video gear to shoot scenes for “Changed”. My wife, kids, and I are also starring in it.
  • Starting To Build My Portable Video System
The first pieces of video gear are starting to arrive. Much like I built a portable sound system, for doing events and rentals, I’m working on a portable video rig, for the same purpose.
  • Sword Ministries’ Limitless Conference
This weekend, I ran sound for the Sword Ministries Limitless Conference. I was originally called in for the streaming mix. Their FOH guy was pulled to play guitar, for some of the services, so I ended up doing front-of-house, as well. I was using their sound system and mixing from a tablet.
  • New Speakers
I added a second sub and an extra pair of 15″ mains to my arsenal of sound equipment.
  • YES! Church New Building 1st Service
I was on-sight to run sound for their first evening service. It was an exciting service.
  • YES! Church New Building
YES! Church is moving to a new and bigger building. My sound system is moving with them. Of course, we had one week to tear everything down and set everything back up.
  • YES! Church 1st Service
Today was YES! Church’s first service. I was there for the Sunday evening service, running sound as I am wont to do.
  • YES! Church Sound Setup
Kris Jackson Ministries is starting a church in Branson West, MO. They are calling it YES! Church and my sound system will be installed there.
  • HouseAfire Outdoor Event
Kris Jackson Ministries did another outdoor service. I didn’t play drums, this time, but I did supply the sound system and ran sound for the service.
  • HouseAfire Outdoor Event
Kris Jackson Ministries had an outdoor HouseAfire meeting. This was my first opportunity to use my sound system. I supplied the sound gear, played drums for the music, and ran sound for the sermon. It was hot, but a fun time. It would just be nice if setup/teardown didn’t take so long.
  • Starting To Build My Portable Sound System
The pieces of my portable sound rig are beginning to be delivered. This will be available for event use and rental. I can setup and run sound for an additional fee.
  • A2 For Rob Wirtz
I had the opportunity to assist studio engineer Rob Wirtz. It mostly meant following him around and getting him coffee. Hehehe… I did learn some new things and I ran the board, when he needed to do something else. I have since worked with him multiple times. He’s a great guy.
  • 1st Cable Grip Job
I did cable grip for Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ Branson Victory Campaign. Ironically enough, when I was recommended for the job, I didn’t even know what it was. I thought I was going to be running network cables or something. I ended up doing this for multiple years and even training cable grips.
  • Bob & Michelle Gross Wedding Video
This is the first paid video gig that I ever did. I had worked on a few video projects, before this, but nothing professionally.
  • 1st Shading Job
I did shading, for the first time. This was the first set of services that my church streamed on the internet. The gear was rented and the shading equipment was in a mobile rack. For some reason, the power supply for the rack was right at knee level. I ended up turning everything off, in the middle of the service. That was also my last shading job.
