Tonight was the 4th annual Fake Birthday Film Festival. It’s called that in memory of Austin Ebersol lying about his birthday on Facebook. Local filmmakers produce short films in randomly-chosen genres and using randomly-chosen items.
This year, I ran (italicize, because it was just a microphone and a 2-track from a laptop – not exactly “running”) sound and camera. Johnathan entered a mocumentary on our fair town of Branson and won best writing. This was the first year he entered a video and only his second short film, so it was pretty cool. Bambi and I starred in a couple of the films, but didn’t win any awards (I was going for best actor).
