I did a video shoot for New Life Temple’s children’s Christmas play. I do not have permission to post the video, due to children’s privacy and the such. It was a fun event, full of singing and dancing. I still reference the “Happy Birthday Jesus” song, with some regularity.
I had a mixture of camcorders, DSLR cameras, and cell phones. That was the first time I used a DSLR, for a live event, and realized that recording limits were a real thing. I also realized that post-production movement of 4k video can be a lot smoother than live movement. Hehehe…
I did a multitrack audio recording, from their soundboard, on my laptop. I’m glad I did, because they didn’t record anything. I wouldn’t have even gotten a stereo mix, had I not recorded it. I had to reproduce the entire show. It was a bunch of work (with having to edit video and audio), but it turned out well. It’s too bad no one will ever see it. 🙁
