I did an event video shoot, for Kingdom Inheritance Ministries, at the Liberty Center Association For The Arts, in Sedalia, MO. Not only does this venue have a theater, it also has an art gallery and piano bar. You can watch the services on KIM’s YouTube channel. Shawn Wade volunteered to operate a camera. Not only is he a swell guy, but he’s a good op.
It was an 8-camera, live-stream, for five services. There was one service, Thursday night, and two services, on Friday and Saturday. I realized that I couldn’t do a 3-service day. I would have to spend $1000/day, on media (SD cards and hard drives). I had to reformat cards, before they were all transferred, after both morning services. I simply ran out of time. It took 3-4 hours to transfer all the cards and drives to my external hard drive. If I had to do three, 3-service, days, I wouldn’t even have time to do transfer them, while I slept. Plus, I wouldn’t sleep, because I was swapping cards.
I purchased an auto-tracking, PTZ, camera, for this event (they didn’t have budget for camera operators). The music was shaking the camera, so I purchased some Hobby Lobby memory foam pads and put them under the tripod feet. They did a good job, although leveling the camera was a bit tricky on a spongey surface. Hehehe…
Oh, and our lunchroom was stocked with beer (that was the venue, not the ministry – at least, I assume). Hehehe…
